The News Can Wait

THE NEWS CAN WAIT is a rock/Experimental-Punk band from Dallas, TX. With the combined influence of hardcore, experimental, punk, and ambient styles of music; The News Can Wait has created something unique and fitting to the message underlining their very project: that message being the real-life, first-hand march of one’s existence. Whether The News Can Wait is shouting about making progress or the struggles that come along with pursuing that progress, the message portrays a rational acceptance and declaration of taking control of one’s life and the awareness manifested in doing so.

Within the name itself, The News Can Wait supports a message of liberation, priority, and assertion. When one is capable of prioritizing what can and cannot wait, this liberates them into the world with a focus. The News Can Wait’s focus in this case is a liberation of the people through the individual’s grasp of their own lives. Rather than waiting for life to take place in front of one’s eyes, the message is about asserting oneself as an individual who takes action, makes priority, and has awareness of what’s going on.

The News Can Wait is releasing a new EP on Anvileater Records this spring, followed by touring to support its release throughout the summer and fall of 2013. The new EP is being tracked, mixed, and mastered by Zach Light of The News Can Wait in his studio in North Texas. The self-production of the new EP is founded on a DIY ethic which adds to the message within the band’s material: being that, with the release will come a genuine artistic creation from the band members that will relay the intended message precisely how they wish it to be received. This is EP is a sort of liberation on liberation for the The News Can Wait, where in their intent to inspire has actually mirrored as an inspiration for themselves.
